Applications are accepted at any time, but the Louisville Bar Foundation Board makes funding decisions semi-annually. The two 2026 deadlines are April 10, 2026 for consideration in June 2026 and October 9, 2026 for consideration in December 2026. The next deadline is October 9, 2026.

Eligibility Notes
Applicants must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) or be a similar exempt organization. Nonprofits must be in good standing with the Kentucky Secretary of State. Each application must also be sponsored by an attorney who is a current Louisville Bar Association member and who agrees to actively volunteer with the proposed project; a sponsoring-attorney endorsement letter is required.
