Timing Notes
Requests are accepted on a rolling basis. Organizations may request sponsorship and/or grant funding from Republic Bank or Republic Bank Foundation once per year. Requests must be submitted at least two months before the funds are needed. Republic does not publish fixed annual application cycles or decision dates. Eligibility Notes
Republic supports Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Florida-based nonprofit organizations whose work benefits people living within Republic Bank's service area. Eligible organizations must have IRS recognition under Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(19). Republic does not fund political candidates or organizations, individuals, general operating expenses, or advertising-type requests such as purchasing ads or sports-field signage. Applicants should serve a broad and varied constituency. In Kentucky, Republic maintains a significant presence in Louisville and Central Kentucky, and applicants should confirm that their organization or proposed activity falls within Republic's current banking footprint. The current application specifically asks applicants whether their organization is within Republic's footprint and whether 51% or more of their clients are low-to-moderate income.
