Provides $1,000-$8,000 to nonprofit and government presenters to engage an artist from South Arts’ roster for a public performance, screening, reading, or exhibition plus an educational/community activity. Funds cover up to 50% of the artist fee.

Timing Notes
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted at least 60 days before the project start date. Awards are limited, first-come/first-served, and subject to funding availability. Applicants are notified within four weeks of submission. Projects must occur between 07/01/2026 and 06/30/2027.

Yes - A dollar-for-dollar cash match is required. The grant may cover up to 50% of the artist fee. For example, a $5,000 grant requires a $5,000 cash match toward a $10,000 artist fee. In-kind contributions cannot satisfy the match.

Eligibility Notes
Applicants must be nonprofit or governmental presenters based in South Arts’ nine-state region and have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Eligible presenters can include cultural organizations, community centers, churches, schools, colleges/universities, libraries, museums, film festivals/series, and performing arts centers. Federally recognized tribal communities are also eligible. Fiscal agents are not accepted. Applicants must engage one eligible artist/company from the South Arts roster.
