No, The Pomeroy Foundation provides grants that specifically pay for the entire cost of the marker, pole and shipping. The grants available through our signature marker programs do not cover indirect costs. The grantee is only responsible for the installation of the sign. Local public works, highway department or civic organizations often volunteer to help with this step.

Funding is only available for entities listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Signage is not available for private residences or commercial properties. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact and eligible local organization, such as a municipal historian or historical organization. They will often apply for the grant on behalf of the individual.
