KDPH - Division of Women's Health Breast Cancer Trust Fund

Funding Opportunity

The BCTF was created in June 2005 in accordance with KRS 211.580. The purpose of the Trust Fund grant is to distribute funds to support breast cancer research, education, treatment, screening and awareness in Kentucky. The trust fund consists of funds collected from the state income tax check from the sale of the "Driving for a Cure" license plates and any other proceeds. Trust fund funds are allocated through a competitive grant process to provide funding to not-for-profit entities, educational institutions and governmental agencies in Kentucky (e.g. Local Health Departments). Preference for funding is given to entities that will target underserved populations and link individuals to cancer screening services.
