The GRANT Program is available for eligible recipients to support the local match requirement when applying for a federal government grant. Applications open June 1, 2024 and will continue on a rolling monthly basis thereafter until funds expire.
Supports the efforts of nonprofit organizations to build vibrant communities that offer stable jobs, homes, and communities connected through culture, recreation, and play.
Funding through the Implementation Pathway will help communities and regions devise and implement long-term economic recovery strategies through a variety of construction and non-construction projects to address economic challenges in areas where a Presidential declaration of a major disaster was issued in 2023 and 2024.
NACo’s Counties for Housing Solutions will provide free virtual technical assistance to help counties assess and update their zoning codes to increase affordable housing development and overall housing supply. These fast-paced technical assistance sprints are designed to be high-intensity and implementation-focused, with a county being on track to formally adopt an amendment to their zoning code at the conclusion of the sprint.
The DAR Historic Preservation Grants provide financial assistance for projects that preserve historic records, objects and sites. Examples include restoration of historic buildings; digitization or preservation of documents/records; preservation of historic items/artifacts; restoration, rededication or relocation of existing historical site markers; cemetery headstone and monument conservation. Projects from all eras and chapters of American history are eligible to apply. Projects considered for grants must support the DAR mission area of historic preservation, and successful applicants
must agree to publicly recognize DAR’s contribution.

US Nonprofits with a 501(c)(3) determination from the IRS are eligible to apply. Each application must be accompanied by letter from a sponsoring DAR chapter or state organization.
The next application period, for grants to be awarded in May 2026, will be August 1 – October 31, 2025. The application portal will open on August 1. Project may not begin prior to May 1 or before receiving notice of grant award and must be completed within 1 year of grant funding (June 30).
Applicants are required to provide matching (1:1) secured cash funding.
